The one and only point I was trying to drive home in my previous blog was that
‘Our planet is in danger because of us! Yes, the same planet wher ” Evolution”, was not just a fairy tale. The same planet where after millions of years ” people” who could “think” evolved.’
I agree that evolution is involuntary and it has got nothing to do with people of our age. But we are the brainest ever that evolved after all those millions of years of permutations and combinations of genes and we do know the repercussions of our being “selfish”. The planet is going to be doomed. And probably it will come back alive and start afresh all over again! But the millions of years of history , heritage, most importantly Techonology will all abe gone. The new species will ahve to wait for another million years or more to reach the stage we are in today only to destroy the poor planet all over again! And the vicious circle will go on!
I also agree that Man has always been selfish cause we genetically made selfish (Courtesy: The Selfish Gene). And over the years of evolution,Man has evolved only to become more and more selfish. All man has cared about is his survival. Mother earth could could accomodate all that back then and still nurture her boys and girls. Well, not any more! We are letting her reach the tipping point! And in no time we’ll all be tipped! ;)
And cause we are made brainy enough to understand all that said above, we need to be “selfish” and save our planet.
