There were days when I first heard this song and wondered what my “khwaab” would be. And then this happened!
Now,everytime I hear this song I can see it all infronta my eyes !
Back in March 2008, I was all lost, wondering what I really want to do with my life. All I had was a job at Deloitte which I hated and was waitlisted on Slb list which I couldnot count on and even if I did, that is not I wanted to do with all my life. I. I had got an internship with Aiesec at Poland to work in a school, was this close to taking it up but I really dint feel for it from within.
On the other side, I could see all the effort a good friend of mine was putting into this all alone in Bangalore and his partner was working on it from Saudi Arabia. And I believed in the idea cause I believe in the people that were behind the idea.
Whatever initiative it is, ‘People’ matter to me the most. I can do just about anything with ‘people’ and for ‘people.’ And I asked Ram if I could start with an internship at Yofa and see how I fit in there. He encouraged me and thought it was a good idea and would do me and yofa some good!
I packed my bags and left for Bangalore!
” Aye saaala..Abhi abhi hua yakeen…Ki aag hain..mujh mein kahii…hui subah..main chal gayaa..suraj ko main nigal gayaa..!’Bengalurooooo…”
And then came Kiki. We were all living in the same place, having fun while working and man it was one of the best phases of my life.
” Jo gumshuda sa khwaab tah..woh khil gaya..woh mil gaya…dhuaan chhatta khula gagan mera…nayi dagar naya safar mera…”
I had to leave to work here. But I still make time for Yofa as my heart is there! And one fine day I hope to go back to Yofa for good!
I had gone for an A.R Rehman concert in Delhi with Ram and Gum back in University in Nov 2007 and we were lost near the venue cause we couldnt figure out the entrance. We just kept running around the fence and this was the song that was playing in the background!
Little did I know back then that we would be running for the same cause! :)
“Roshan huaa…jeeeee gayaa!.. Rubaruuu…Roshnii hey!”
Thanks Ram! If not for that moment, I would never have found this early what I really wanted to do with all my life!!
Yofa, indeed is one the best things that happened to me! And The best part about Yofa is its people!
